Leggings that Reduce Inflammation and Cellulite

 A Review of Resistance Leggings

Not all inflammation reduction is food related. Recently, I came across leggings that claim to reduce inflammation while increasing calorie burn. Since I'm desperately trying to reduce the inflammation in my body due to my nightshade intolerance, I have ordered 3 different types of leggings and I'll give you my opinion on each.

Fanka Leggings: Claim: full compression leggings that have 3D print precision lines built in that resemble modern kinesiology tape for maximum sculpting, support, performance, and recovery.
-These fit true to size and are my favorite of the leggings I've tried. Recommended to help with post partem recovery, but I would recommend waiting for 6 weeks after delivery prior to wearing as I, myself, personally wouldn't have liked anything tight on my stomach after delivery as your uterus is tender as it's healing in the first 6 weeks.
-The entire pant is a gradual compression, so at the end of my busy day of seeing patients my ankles are no longer swollen.
-I like how my legs look in these leggings and feel they are shaping my legs. The material is extremely comfortable and the lines feel velvety.

Sweetflex Leggings: Claim: Yale testing shows that wearing these leggings for a day result in an extra 255 calories burned.
    -True to size in fit.
-These are comfortable to wear, but only where the resistant bands are is where the compression takes place.  In other words, the entire pant isn't compression, just where the resistant bands are built in.
-Not as attractive to wear as the Fanka Leggings and I feel I get a better experience with Fanka vs. Sweetflex.

Agogie Leggings: Claim: burns more calories and fat, maximizes muscle engagement, and improves strength, balance, and mobility.
-Runs big compared to the size guide.
-I ordered the leggings with the 8 resistance bands built in. The pants are very heavy when you lift them.
-Most expensive of these 3 options. Fanka is still the most attractive, then I would rate Sweetflex second in how they look, and these would be last as far as fashion is concerned.
-The pair I ordered were too large to use and didn't offer any resistance due to the oversize.

My Quest for Health

I have struggled with digestive issues since I was 18 years old. I can't count how many GI specialists I've consulted or how much money I've spent on medical bills throughout the years. But, finally , two weeks ago I stumbled upon the answers I've been longing for. Do I think the medical community was withholding valuable information from me? Absolutely not. My doctors have exhausted their knowledge and tests to try to give me the answers I so desperately have needed. So, then, you may ask yourself, why did it take 30 years to get any illumination on my issues?     I believe they simply didn't know. I, myself, have a doctorate and have never heard of this issue. I think it's vitally important to share my journey and the knowledge I've obtained to try to help anyone in need. I've researched this issue for countless hours and believe it to possibly be genetic. I also believe it affects more people than anyone realizes and this information can help peop...

Plants: Friend or Foe

Now that I've established that I'm Violet from Willy Wonka in need of serious juicing, where do we go  from here? Since my body is full to bursting with inflammation, I need the opposite: anti-inflammatories. Since plants got me into this mess, can plants also get me out?     I've been researching herbs and their medicinal properties recently as I've felt let down by modern medicine. I'm also a complete nerd who loves history and learning about ancient times and people. So, down the rabbit hole we go.     Cleopatra was renowned in her time for her knowledge of gynecology, pharmacology and aesthetics. She had extensive records of her findings, but unfortunately, the knowledge was mostly lost with the loss of The Great Library of Alexandria. Some say the Romans weren't ready for a powerful female adversary and worked diligently to smear her legacy and erase her from history.  Three Ways Cleopatra Contributed to Science and M...
